Sr. Treasury Analyst

Cook Inlet Region, Inc is seeking a talented Sr. Treasury Analyst to join our accounting team. Cook Inlet Region, Inc., also known as CIRI, is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). CIRI’s regional boundaries roughly follow the traditional Dena’ina territory of Southcentral Alaska. CIRI was incorporated on June 8, 1972, and is owned today by a diverse group of more than 9,500 Shareholders who live in Alaska and throughout the world.

This position is based in Anchorage, AK but offers a fully remote schedule for candidates who live outside of Alaska. Remote employees may be required to travel to the corporate office on a regular schedule. For candidates who are based in Anchorage, AK, CIRI offers a hybrid work schedule.

General Function

In alignment with CIRI’s mission and values, responsible for treasury management and ensuring internal and external reporting of current and forecast cash status and liquidity. Support as assigned for CIRI’s and CST’s overall accounting and reporting requirements.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

• Administration of the company’s treasury activity including:
• Responsible for the accounting of CIRI’s complex central treasury activities using several ERP and Treasury systems across multiple banks and subsidiaries ensuring accuracy and compliance. Includes daily analytic review, validation and reconciliation of bank transactions to internal records, and cash movement across various legal entities, identifying trends and potential risks, recording monthly cash transactions in accounting software, reviewing coding on invoices, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Perform advanced short-term cash forecasting and liquidity analysis, leveraging data from multiple sources to develop accurate and actionable insights for CIRI and its multiple subsidiaries. Support long-term cash forecasting needs across multiple subsidiaries and financial institutions.
• Manage bank account structures, opening and closing accounts, and coordinating signatory and user updates across entities.
• Process electronic disbursements and other banking transactions within established policies, procedures, and controls.
• Evaluate and recommend banking products, services, and platforms as appropriate.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and primary technical resource for online banking platforms, and other treasury platforms including, bank, investment, and corporate credit card administration.
• Administer the company’s credit card program including opening and closing employee cards, managing spending limits and fraud activity.
• Actively participate in software implementations regarding treasury services, investment portfolios, cash flow, and all other software impacting the treasury process or impacted by the treasury process.
• Update multi-year liquidity analysis based on inputs from long-range plans developed by operations teams.
• Prepare schedules and work papers for annual financial audits of CIRI and subsidiaries and the CIRI Settlement Trust (CST).
• Assist in the preparation of all internal and external reports including monthly financial statements, quarterly consolidations, and year-end financial statements. Assist with various other reporting and analysis across all CIRI's and CST’s diverse business segments.
• Assist with annual budget compilation and other forecasting projects.
• Perform other duties as appropriate and as assigned.

Physical Abilities

• Sufficient fine motor skills for use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
• Visual and communication abilities adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
• Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
• Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
  
  

Minimum Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance.
• Three of more years’ experience within large, diversified corporation, bank or other financial institution; OR two or more years of public accounting experience.
• Banking experience or CTP preferred.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
