The Senior Sales Account Executive is responsible for maximizing revenue and market share focusing on premium revenue growth with Delta and its Joint Venture partners, in concert with Delta’s most strategic Incentive House agency partners and our mutual corporate customers and field sellers that support this important meeting & event specialty market. This position collaborates with multiple Delta departments including Sales Development, Pricing and Revenue Management, Global Sales Support, Distribution and Global Agency Sales to formulate sales strategies/initiatives and programs.
Position is virtual, with a hub or focus market location preference in the United States (US 48)
Core Responsibilities Include
The primary position objective includes the accountable and successful portfolio performance managing Incentive House (IH) Agency portfolio, Convention & Visitor Bureau partnerships in on our key hub and focus markets, Meeting & Event (M&E) industry national partnerships that are the pulse of our vertical specialty market, and Associations that drive citywide events in our major markets
Building, maintaining, and handling relationships with all account stakeholders internally and externally, at varying levels, up to and including C-Suite
Participating in the creation and execution of the annual account Flight Plan and overall divisional sales objectives
Performance analysis of data to identify premium revenue growth opportunities and defining/executing on plan to win the business
360 Corporate Travel and TMC experience required to facilitate connectivity between transient and incentive travel for respective DL customers and Global Sales colleagues
Maintaining high level industry knowledge including evaluating industry programs & practices to ensure Delta and its Joint Venture partners remain competitive
This position requires frequent domestic and international travel, as well as night and weekend hours.
National Partnership responsibilities for contract negotiation, fulfillment, targeted return on investment events with partnership penetration, and internal engagement
Ownership of Convention Visitor & Bureau partnerships – which are key focus for senior leadership, cross divisional activations, RM and DL investment, e.g., NYC, LAX, ATL
Assignment of Key National Associations e.g., SITE, MPI, cross leveraging with CVB partners, DL National Sales, DL Marketing, SkyMiles penetration, Wheels Up and Air Partners penetration
Ancillary responsibilities also include facilitation of training with Sales Enablement team, market trend reporting for executive and DL presentations, national presentations, and industry committee participation
Salary range is $68100 - $183700 annually

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
Candidate should possess the ability to think through situations analytically and translate findings towards sales methodologies that drive margin expansion for Delta and its Joint Venture Partners with a focus on the Meetings & Events specialty vertical
Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with negotiation, time management, organizational, planning, and presentation abilities
A focus on diversity and equity; including the ability to successfully work with customers around the world and to be culturally aware of business conduct protocol
Excellent interpersonal and business decision making skills are required
Must be able to adapt to changing environments and display tremendous drive and commitment
Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Candidate must be available to travel globally and work additional hours and/or days as needed
Must be able to establish a virtual office while building relationships with other team members
Up to 70% travel may be required, which could be over weekends and/or multi day travel
Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Candidate must demonstrate leadership capabilities and can disseminate information professionally according to Delta values
Candidate should possess an overall knowledge of company procedures and policies and embody Delta’s culture of Integrity, Resilience, Case and Servant Leadership
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with recent airline and/or hospitality sales experience is preferred
Prior experience with agency/corporate sales or sales development, meetings and events travel, or broader commercial function (Revenue Management, Customer Engagement and Loyalty, etc.) preferred
Proficiency with Salesforce, Tableau, SharePoint and Teams preferred
