Purpose

The Sr. Manager, FP&A will report to the CFO and play a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making.

This individual must have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for contributing to the financial success of the organization.

This is a high paced role that requires the incumbent to prioritize work, manage competing priorities, and work with unstructured data from source systems (i.e. Salesforce, ServiceNow, Intacct, Planful).

Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Leads the development of the annual plan, monthly re-forecasts, while working closely with business leaders to gather relevant data
  • Conduct variance analysis to assess performance against plans and forecasts, identifies key drivers and trends
  • Supports business leaders in the process of implementing action plans
  • Prepare financial models to support long-term strategic planning and scenario analysis
  • Assist with quarterly bank reporting and monthly covenant forecasting to ensure the company is within all covenants
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand and analyze their financial needs and provide insights for effective decision-making
  • Continuously seeks and implements opportunities to improve the financial planning and reporting processes, driving greater efficiency and accuracy.

Reporting And Dashboard Management

  • Generate and distribute timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards to provide visual representation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to support management in making informed business decisions
  • Work with the finance team to prepare, continually develop, and improve monthly reporting to the Board/Ownership

Expense Management

  • Monitor and analyze expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for efficiency improvement
  • Work with business units to develop and track key performance metrics related to expense management

Ad-Hoc Analysis And Special Projects

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects (including cost and profitability analysis, M&A support, etc.) as required by senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Strong sense of curiosity and demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Deep experience with integrated three statement financial models
  • Expert ability with advanced use of Pivot Tables and Excel formulae to support data analysis
  • Ability to extract large volumes of data and manage data iterations (annual plan, monthly re-forecasts, etc)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related roles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience

Differentiators

  • Team leadership (direct or indirect) with a focus on mentoring and training team members
  • Managed Services or similar recurring revenue business model
  • Professional Services (including fixed fee revenue recognition)
  • Experience with SalesForce and ServiceNow (or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of PowerBI / PowerQuery and ability to ‘industrialize’ current financial models to support growth in a more complex financial structure
  • Financial software/tools (particularly Intacct, Planful) or similar
  • Experience in portfolio company of a private equity entity
  • Report generation and presentation (board-ready powerpoint financial summaries)
  • Lean / Six Sigma continuous improvement training
  • CPA / CFA

Salary starting at $90,000+
