Infrastructure Project Manager

On-site position in Alpharetta, GA

Optomi, in partnership with a Fortune 500 financial services organization, is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead high priority projects for Infrastructure programs. The Project Manager will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, and occasionally cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.

Responsibilities:

• Drive projects from original concept through final implementation working with internal resources and external customers, including coordinating with other project managers and organizational entities to identify and monitor issues, impacts, and dependencies and building relationships with all functional areas and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Defines scope and project objectives and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports to achieve objectives.
• Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by identifying and monitoring: overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, resources, ETAs, task dependencies, and critical paths.
• Manage the change control process, including owning the process documentation related to the overall process flow for the Business Unit
• Control and track project performance, time allocations, cost, and quality by constantly evaluating project progress and conducting regular team status meetings
• Responds to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need

Qualifications for Consideration:

• 5-7 years of previous project management and/or relevant consulting experience
• Knowledge of- and demonstrated experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as, project lifecycles
• Knowledge of or experience leading networking projects - solid understanding of F5 loadbalancers, Racking, Cabling, Network refresh process, etc.
• Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries desired
• Experience in driving large scale change efforts
• Experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and team
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, not required
• Certified Scrum Master certification preferred, not required
• Familiarity with Project Management tools
