Senior Operations Manager

Role Overview:

As the Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing operations of our electrical components. This key leadership role will oversee production, quality control, supply chain management, and process optimization, ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance. You will play a crucial part in shaping the future of our manufacturing strategies and maintaining our reputation for excellence within the aerospace, defense, and space sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Operations Leadership: Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes and meeting high standards for quality and safety.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
• Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufacturing activities adhere to aerospace and defense industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR compliance).
• Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Oversee the supply chain process to ensure timely procurement of materials, proper inventory management, and coordination with suppliers to maintain production schedules.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
• Safety & Risk Management: Ensure a strong safety culture across all operations, managing risk and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, engineering, and sales teams to ensure alignment between production goals and customer requirements.
• Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance metrics, production timelines, and any potential risks or delays.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior role, ideally within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing of high-tech components.
• Industry Expertise: Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations in the aerospace, defense, or space sectors, with a deep understanding of industry regulations and standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and implement effective solutions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, data analysis tools, and manufacturing software. Familiarity with CAD/PLM systems is a plus.
