Adecco has partnered with a an international beauty company to hire a Global Tax Accounting and Reporting Specialist.
This is a 3-6 month contract with potential to extend. While we are open to remote candidates you must work EST hours. The pay is $85-$96/hr.
We are seeking a Global Tax Accounting and Reporting Associate Director to join our global finance team. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, this role will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing tax accounting processes on a quarterly and annual basis. You will collaborate closely with Tax, Controlling, and Finance teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP tax reporting and internal policies while driving process improvements and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tax Accounting & Compliance
Lead and enhance global and local tax accounting processes, ensuring accurate completion of ASC 740 tax provisions, from planning and forecasting to calculations and reporting.
Continuously improve tax accounting processes, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with policies and documentation standards.
Provide guidance on tax accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.
2. Tax Reporting & Documentation
Oversee income tax reporting at federal, state, and international levels, working closely with finance teams.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to standardize and automate US income tax compliance.
Strengthen collaboration between tax accounting and reporting functions to enhance efficiency.
3. Finance & Tax Projects
Support strategic initiatives such as IPO readiness, tax planning, and business restructuring, ensuring proper tax accounting and reporting integration.
Collaborate with Finance and Tax teams on cross-functional projects to optimize reporting accuracy.
Technology & Process Improvement
Lead enterprise-wide tax technology initiatives, integrating tax accounting and income tax reporting processes with automation tools.
Work with IT and finance teams to enhance systems such as Oracle Cloud EPM (TRCS, FCCS, PBCS) and improve overall tax reporting efficiency.
4. Stakeholder Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including FP&A, Treasury, Technical Accounting, and external auditors.
Provide technical tax accounting guidance to peers and ensure effective internal controls.
Qualifications
Tax accounting and reporting experience in a Big Four firm or public company, with SEC registrant exposure.
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP tax provisions (ASC 740), including uncertain tax positions, tax impacts of business restructuring, and tax planning measures.
Experience managing multi-national and multi-state corporate tax compliance.
Strong background in financial reporting, process improvements, automation, and ERP system integrations.
Proven ability to collaborate with external auditors to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Experience in retail or FMCG industries.
Knowledge of transfer pricing and Pillar II tax rules.
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud EPM (TRCS, FCCS, PBCS) and tax technology tools.
