As the Regional VP you will be responsible for leading and managing a regional agency channel (Life Insurance specific) with primary responsibility for driving revenue generation through new business and renewals produced by the regional Agents. We will look to you to drive and oversee new hires, team building and team development, recruiting, coaching, training, retention, etc. We are looking for someone who is strong with sales planning, teaching prosecting and pipelining, running team meetings, doing frequent 1 on 1’s, ride alongs, etc. This role will have 10 District Managers reporting in to it and will report to the VP of Agency Distribution. 3+ years of team management experience is required. Strong foundation of 10+ years in Life Insurance Sales and Distribution is also required.
This role can be located anywhere within the region and work remotely from home, but will require extensive travel up to 70%. The region includes these states and you can live in any of these states so long as you are near a good airport. (MI, MO, IL, IN, MO, OH, PA, TN). Any experience with a home service agency model is a plus.
Requirements Include
– 10+ years in Sales and Distribution (Agent, Wholesaler) of Life Insurance products
Three plus years of district management experience or multi-agency management experience
Proven experience in leading sales teams including hiring, training, developing and retaining through appropriate setting of expectations and ensuring accountability.
Proven record of successful sales growth, retention of employees and successful development of talent
Understands basic data management skills, such as Excel and Tableau, necessary to utilize sales operations information and perform channel reviews
Proficient in digital tools such as online insurance application platforms (e.g. eApp, iPipeline)
Highly motivated and natural self-starter, independent thinker, great planner, and team player
Drive results across a team of dynamic communicators and professionals
Track record in selecting and developing a high performing team
Possesses a continuous improvement mindset
– Ability to build a culture of accountability from the agent force
