We are on the lookout for detail-oriented and proactive receptionists to support some of the city’s most prestigious companies and their teams. Since 1984, we’ve combined our boutique recruiting style with our ability to meet the diverse needs of both companies and employees. We are dedicated to helping our temporary employees find opportunities that align with their goals, timelines, and passions. Generally, these temp assignments pay $18-20/hour. Mack & Associates offers benefits including medical, PTO and 401k.


Here are some model responsibilities and requirements for our temps:


Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

  • Manage incoming office phone calls with professionalism and direct them as needed
  • Be the first point of contact for office visitors, providing a warm and friendly welcome
  • Offer on-site support for management team members and clients visiting the office
  • Organize office-wide meetings, presentations, and other events and activities
  • Ensure conference rooms are ready for meetings
  • Keep track of office supplies, equipment, and kitchen stock, ensuring everything is well-maintained
  • Work with building management on issues such as security and visitor management
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone and email
  • Provide proactive scheduling support by booking meetings and preventing conflicts
  • Anticipate the needs of management team members to provide proactive support
  • Sort and distribute mail and packages efficiently
  • Provide coverage to other administrative assistants as needed
  • Take on other tasks and projects as assigned


Requirements of the Receptionist:

  • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
