Essential Functions
LoneStar Fasteners is looking for the right, qualified individual to join our team!! We have an immediate need for Quality Lab Technicians (full-time) on 2nd shift at our facility in Spring, TX!
Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
Performs receiving and in-process laboratory testing to support manufacturing protocols.
Accurately reads and interprets test data required to comply with product specifications.
Perform appropriate physical test on products and records data on manual or computerized system.
Follows standard operating procedures of lab functions and equipment.
Performs routine maintenance on testing equipment
Ensures product is tested and approved per specification; informs management of non-conforming materials or products.
Completes lab test reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Entry level or 1 or more years of quality experience and/or training in a regulated industry with 3 years of related lab technician experience preferred; previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred; background in fasteners or similar industry preferred; knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); preferred.
Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
Able to effectively operate laboratory equipment requiring precise adjustment of controls for valid results.
Able to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitor gauges, instruments, or processes; concentrate on routine work details
Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
Must be able to work a 2nd shift schedule general schedule of Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 PM and overtime as needed, including weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing 25-150 lbs
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing and warehouse environment with multi step process production runs on different machines. High value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
