We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Management Specialist to join the Starr Information Security Team. This position has a strong emphasis on Modern Desktop Management using Microsoft Intune and expertise in ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize IT assets, ensure compliance with asset management policies, and streamline desktop management processes within a modern, cloud-based infrastructure. This role will be responsible for ensuring that security related fields are populated in the asset management system to ensure timely response for incident response and vulnerability management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver effective asset lifecycle management and desktop solutions.

Key Configuration and Asset Management Responsibilities
Asset Management:
- Ensure that all IT assets, including desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, etc. are populated with fields critical to Security response.
- Develop and enforce asset management policies, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize ServiceNow to track asset inventory, maintain accurate records, and generate detailed reports.
- Collaborate with Security, NOC, and Services teams to ensure integrity of the inventory and the associated data.
- Assist with the administering and management of Microsoft Intune to streamline desktop provisioning, configuration, and compliance.
- Design and implement policies for device enrollment, application management, and security baselines within Intune.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to device management and inventory, including endpoint and agent health.
- Develop strategies to improve user experiences while maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Leverage ServiceNow to automate and optimize workflows for asset tracking and inventory management.
- Work closely with IT operations, security, and support teams to ensure seamless integration between Intune and ServiceNow.
- Identify opportunities to improve asset management and desktop management processes and implement best practices.
- Create detailed reports on IT asset utilization, compliance, and performance using ServiceNow analytics.
- Analyze trends in asset vulnerability and data completeness to provide gap analysis and recommend improvements.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to communicate the effectiveness of asset management and desktop solutions to stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Modern Desktop Management, or related fields.
- Proven expertise in managing Microsoft Intune for device management and security.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management and ITSM modules.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow, particularly in Asset Management, CMDB, and ITSM workflows.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, macOS, and mobile device management (MDM).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with Zero Trust security principles and Conditional Access policies.
