Mechanical Engineer – Custom Machine Design

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and release of mechanical projects
• Apply sound engineering and machine design principles to develop custom-engineered equipment
• Create, modify, and update mechanical drawings and BOMs
• Analyze existing designs and recommend improvements
• Mentor other engineers and designers on best practices in machine design
• Conduct independent site inspections and supervise equipment installations
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Collaborate with shop assembly personnel to troubleshoot and debug equipment
• Process and complete engineering change orders (ECOs)

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (degree not required)
• Experience designing custom industrial equipment
• Driven and ambitious personality with strong attention to detail
• Creative and forward-thinking approach to engineering design
• Field experience, customer site audits, and installation supervision experience are a plus
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD (Inventor preferred)
• Experience with GD&T (preferred)
• Ability to travel up to 15%, including some weekends and international opportunities
