The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s payment operations, including managing accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance, and optimizing payment systems for efficiency and scalability. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and customer support to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and their related payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, payment operations, technology-driven solutions, and financial compliance, with hands-on experience in Coupa and Sage Intacct.

Job Description

- Manage end-to-end accounts payable process.
- Oversee reconciliation processes, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payment regulations, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other industry standards.
- Work with engineering teams to enhance payment system automation and integration with other financial systems.
- Utilize Coupa for procurement and expense management processes to streamline accounts payable and payment operations.
- Leverage Sage Intacct for financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance tracking to maintain accurate payment records.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare payment reports, identify trends, and provide insights for process improvements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient, secure, and compliant accounts payable and payment operations.
- Assist in resolving payment-related issues for both customers and internal teams, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Lead a team of payment specialists, providing coaching, training, and support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new payment technologies, and best practices to continually improve Alto’s payment systems.
A Bit About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable and payment operations.
- 1+ years of experience managing or supervising a team.
- In-depth knowledge of payment systems and AP processing platforms.
- Experience with Coupa for accounts payable management and Sage Intacct for financial operations is required.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations and financial technology solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify areas for process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading and managing teams to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Products; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
- Familiarity with emerging payment technologies (e.g., blockchain, mobile payments).
Additional Physical Job Requirements
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.
This position requires occasional travel therefore you must be able to sit for extended periods of time on airplanes and/or in vehicles, lift and carry luggage independently, navigate long distances through airports and other travel locations independently, and adjust to different time zones and climates.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000
Commission Eligible: No
Equity Eligible: Yes
Travel: Yes - Required up to 10% of the time
Location Requirement: Employment at Alto is limited to individuals residing in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington (WA), and Wisconsin.
Employment Authorization Requirement: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. At this time, Alto is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
Benefits: Full-time employee benefits include: Multiple group medical, dental and vision plans to choose from, 401(k) plan, group life, AD&D, FSA/HSA, employer paid STD/LTD, Take-What-You-Need vacation time, accrued paid sick time, 11 paid holidays (7 for Pharmacy and Care teams), 8 weeks paid parental leave for eligible employees.
