Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Bilingual Junior Accountant (English/Spanish) to join our corporate team in Miami, FL. The Accountant position will work closely with our CFO and Controller on all aspects of the organization’s accounting functions. This position is temporarily remote and may have days where it is required to come into the office. Therefore, candidate must reside in or near Miami, FL.
Duties And Responsibilities
Support the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries and reconciling the bank and other balance sheet accounts
Complete daily cash reporting, maintain records for bank accounts and related activities.
Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
Maintain sales staff’s KPI records and generate reports.
File monthly sales tax reports.
Respond Controller as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
Oversee the disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, auditors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist with other related duties and special ad hoc projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance field.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Familiarity with GAAP accounting .
Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks Online or other accounting software.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Bilingual English/Spanish (required).
Strong skills with Microsoft Excel .
Highly detail oriented and able to multi-task effectively and meet hard deadlines.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management.
Strong analytical skills with effective problem-solving abilities.
High degree of initiative; highly motivated self-starter that can work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to train and work remotely.
WORK SCHEDULE
9:00am-6:00pm (M-F)
1 hour lunch break
