General Manager of Operations (Grinding Machine / Organic Recycling experience mandatory)

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 base salary + Bonus + Longterm incentives

We are seeking a strong servant leader, General Manager of Operations to lead our 200+ person team and oversee all aspects of grinding production, logistics, general management and safety. This leader will be responsible for driving operational efficiencies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and scaling the business while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance of recycle grinding, land clearing, and organic material processing.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a large workforce of over 200 employees, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Metrics & Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental regulations, and all company safety policies.
• Process Optimization: Implement best practices in grinding, manufacturing, and logistics to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of grinding machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Strategic Growth: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement growth opportunities, including facility expansion, new technology adoption, and process enhancements.
• Financial Oversight: Manage operational budgets, control costs, and drive profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Customer & Vendor Relations: Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and customers to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10+ years of operations leadership experience in organic recycling, land clearing, construction, or manufacturing with grinding operations (experience in grinding equipment is mandatory).
• English/Spanish - Bilingual is highly preferred but not mandatory
• Proven track record of managing large teams (200+ employees) in a dynamic, high-volume production environment.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA compliance, and environmental standards.
• Expertise in grinding machinery, heavy equipment operations, and plant maintenance.
• Experience developing and tracking operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and employee engagement.
• Experience working in private equity-backed or growth-focused companies is a plus.
