Director of Revenue Accounting

This is a challenging role for someone who likes to create and build from scratch. Our client is a breakout life sciences company with recent commercial success of its flagship product and a slate in the pipeline. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director of Revenue Accounting will craft this new function overseeing a Staff.

Key areas of focus are oversight of revenue recognition, GTN sales and AR management, developing critical reporting, internal controls and the full-cycle order-to-cash model.

• Ensure proper accounting for promotions, discounts, refunds & credits, reviewing revenue transactions to the GL for timely financial close.
• SME for all things revenue, including ASC 606 around contracts and prepare supporting memos and recommend accounting treatment.
• Lead the AR function, monitoring credit, billing & collections.
• Partner with external auditors and maintain SOX

Requirements for the Director of Revenue Accounting:

• You will have a background in the life sciences industry.
• Manager & above level experience in revenue accounting, credit or collections
• CPA preferred
• Robust understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP
• Solid exposure to SOX
• Knowledge of gross-to-net sales and order-to-cash process
• Comfortable with ERP systems and Excel
