Terra Kaffe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our team, with a strong track record of delivering results and proven project management skills across different verticals within Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and NPI/New Product Introductions. This role will own strategic, tactical, cross-functional projects and workflows. This role requires excellent organizational skills, inter-personal skills, external vendor communication skills, and analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, insatiable curiosity, and keen business acumen.


This is a full-time position based in Manhattan, NY (Flatiron) and will report to Terra Kaffe’s VP of Operations & Finance.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • General Operations Management. Oversight of end-to-end daily company operations and correspondence/relationship management with key partners including: logistics partners, forwarders, manufacturers, warehouses, after-sales services, and quality control firms to maintain and support scaling Terra Kaffe’s operations
  • Optimize Current Programs: Help us drive current programs forward through continuous optimization with an emphasis on efficiency and automation. Workstreams include our after- sales programs, supplier sourcing, expanding coffee and care & cleaning product subscription strategies, and new product introductions projects
  • Lead Business Improvement Programs: Own and execute the roadmaps for critical programs and projects to achieve customer, product and financial results
  • Develop & Refine Program Strategies: Ideate, and develop program roadmaps and providing strategic guidance and support to Terra Kaffe management team
  • Driving Continuous Quality Improvements: Work hand-in-hand with quality team to continuously drive quality improvements in new products, current products and after-sales programs
  • Channel Programs Operations: Work with operations, cx, sales and marketing to launch new retail channels and ensure market success with a seamless go-to-market
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Constantly identifying potential operational risks, communicating risks with internal stakeholders and developing mitigation strategies to before they happen
  • Building & Maintaining Critical Relationships: Communicating with Terra Kaffe’s key partners, suppliers, and identifying potential new partners for Terra Kaffe
  • Develop, Implement and Manage KPI’s/Reporting: Owning the development of operations
  • KPIs across various workstreams and developing strategies to achieve them
  • Systems Mastery: Mastering current ERP (Netsuite), systems and different data inflows and outflows that drives Terra Kaffe’s business
  • NPI/Go to Market: Play a crucial part in launching new products across our various channels
  • Empower Your Team: Mentor & support current and new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years working experience in program management, operations, engineering, finance/consulting, banking etc.
  • Experience leading ambiguous, fast-moving critical business initiatives/programs and having

the ability to adapt

  • Comfort using analysis and quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations with imperfect information
  • Experience utilizing NetSuite’s ERP tools for daily operations tasks, supply-chain and inventory management, as well as general departmental reporting purposes
  • A proven track record of delivering key business results including cost savings, customer service improvements, reducing waste, launching new products, expanding channels, etc.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Early-stage startup, DTC, e-commerce, consumer goods or connected hardware experience is preferred
  • Passion for coffee is a plus!
