Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Controller in preparing consolidated financial reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of key accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Create and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and support audit requirements.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance team competencies and career growth.
  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding process for accounting staff.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and policies to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and adopt automation tools.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Support:
  • Partner with the Controller and finance team to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis with actionable insights to management.
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Work with external auditors during annual audits and other reviews, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements (if applicable), and other regulatory obligations.
  • Strategic Role:
  • Assist the Controller in driving financial strategy and long-term planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and achieve the organization’s financial goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing, developing, and mentoring accounting teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced environment
