Desktop Support Technician
Role – Tradefloor Support
Location – New York NY (Onsite )
Candidate with exp. in Banking domain with tradefloor support experience
Responsibilities:
- Coordinator of the Windows 11 migration project, tracking progress of timelines, gathering of information, issues tracking, and risk mitigation to ensure a smooth transition.
- Work closely with IT teams, partners, and other business departments to ensure project and operational objectives are met
- Upgrade trader workstations from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
- Provide first-line technical support for the trading floor during the Windows 11 migration, responding promptly to requests and issues.
- Troubleshoot Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and other market data products.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support for trading applications.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
- Proficiency with Windows 10 and 11, Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), SharePoint, and Teams.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Active Directory and printers.
- Basic troubleshooting skillset for Bloomberg, Refinitiv, 0365 and other market data-related applications.
- Knowledge of Intune, Microsoft Autopilot, On Prem AD and Azure AD.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting and supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Proficiency with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft SCCM, MDT.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security best practices and implementation.
- In-depth understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, Networking, and Endpoint Security.
- Experience with PowerShell and command-line scripts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
