Controller - Construction Company

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of financial resources. This role involves the management of accounting functions, including accounts payable and invoicing, and requires a strategic approach to financial planning and analysis, particularly within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice approval and payment processing.
• Develop monthly financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial aspects of construction projects are properly accounted for and reported.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, particularly within the construction industry.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
