Controller

Are you a strategic finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments? We’re looking for a Senior or Director-Level Controller to help shape and scale the accounting function for a growing, tech-enabled company headquartered in Chicago’s River North.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll partner directly with the CFO and executive team to build out internal controls, drive audit readiness, optimize cash flow processes, and implement ERP systems. If you’re passionate about operational excellence, private equity environments, and building from the ground up—this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, revenue, and general ledger functions
• Lead audit readiness and internal control development
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and cash forecasts
• Manage ERP implementation and systems integration
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT
• Mentor and grow a high-performing accounting team
• Provide strategic insights to senior leadership and PE partners

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Prior experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit prep, and internal controls
• Proven success in ERP implementation and financial process improvement
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• CPA preferred; Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
