HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations from our corporate office in Downers Grove, IL. This role will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements across the company, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. You will be a key partner to senior leadership, providing accurate financial insights to drive strategic decision-making.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and annual financial statements, audits, and budgets.
  • Lead accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls, verifying the integrity of systems, processes, and financial data.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and manage accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team.
  • Partner with the CFO to provide financial insights that drive value creation.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and corporate tax compliance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for quarterly and annual audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, including financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, contracts, and bids.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.


What you Bring to the Table:

  • Active CPA require
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in private equity-backed environments strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Controller in a mid-sized or large company
  • BS in Accounting required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with multi-location/multi-state operations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
