Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct analytical reviews.
Record journal entries reflecting monthly activity.
Ensure accuracy in month-end close processes.
Prepare work papers supporting monthly close cycles and balances.
Complete and verify monthly account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
Provide updates in internal systems or reporting platforms as necessary.
Balance intercompany accounts.
Prepare required reports and commentary on financial results.
Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budgets and periodic updates.
Manage weekly cash projections to optimize cash flows and ensure efficient fund usage.
Enhance performance in net working capital (NWC) and free cash flow (FCF).
Maintain budget adherence for capital expenditures and inventory.
Provide business insights and financial guidance to the RVP and branch management.
Deliver analytical reviews of operations based on financial metrics.
Support monthly business reviews with value-added analysis.
Communicate financial performance and operational updates to stakeholders.
Identify cost and sales improvement opportunities.
Offer data-driven business forecasts.
Collaborate with corporate leaders to implement effective internal controls and reporting processes.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards, including fiscal and governance requirements.
Manage relationships with auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
Experience: Seven or more years in sectors such as equipment dealership, rental, or business services. Five-plus years in accounting and finance management. Three or more years in a controller-equivalent role for a service company with over $100 million in annual revenues. CPA strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
Other Requirements: Ability to deliver clear, concise, and impactful written and verbal presentations. Effective communication with colleagues across various business levels and scenarios is essential.
