Cloud/DevOps Systems Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Systems Engineer to join our client’s team in either Beltsville, MD or Rosslyn, VA. In this role you will play a vital role in integrating Cribl into the clients infrastructure while leveraging Azure cloud services and ServiceNow to bolster our cybersecurity efforts.

This direct-hire role is fully on-site in either Beltsville, MD or Rosslyn, VA (location most preferable for candidate).

Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens, possessing an active Secret clearance with eligibility for a final Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Administration:
• Manage and optimize Azure resources, including storage, networking, compute, and Identity Access Management (IAM).
• Architect, deploy, and enhance Azure cloud solutions, ensuring security best practices and compliance standards are met.
• Terraform Proficiency:
• Modify and maintain Terraform modules for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
• Application Migration:
• Lead the migration of on-premises applications and servers to Azure, handling configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Systems Administration Experience:
• Strong background in IT systems administration or systems engineering, with expertise in Cisco, VMware, clusters, and server management.
• Version Control and Automation:
• Utilize GIT for version control and implement automation using Ansible and Azure DevOps.
• Apply basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell and Bash to automate processes.
• Overall Qualifications:
• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, specifically with Cribl, Azure, and ServiceNow.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and incident management workflows.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks and data analytics methodologies.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience. An additional four years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Must have one of the following certifications:
• CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, or SNOW App Dev.
• Experience with Cribl, Azure Cloud, ServiceNow, and Terraform.
• Background in systems administration or systems engineering, including experience with Cisco, VMware, clusters, and server management.
• Proficiency in version control and automation.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Secret security clearance with eligibility to obtain a final Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
