About The Role

The Building Engineer is an important member of the building staff, and, as such, assumes responsibility for ensuring that the interior and exterior of his/her building is neat, safe, and attractive

Essential Functions

  • Perform Duties as assigned in care of building.
  • Perform duties as assigned in care of the site.
  • Perform duties as assigned for activities in or out of the building.
  • Move materials and equipment as directed.
  • Security watch.
  • Meet daily with members of custodial staff assigned to the building.
  • Prioritize the work and work flow of the building, subject to the direction of the the Director of
  • Buildings and Grounds or the Building Principal.
  • Monitor and process work orders in the Preventative Work Order system.
  • Responsible for verifying all work completed by outside contractors by work order sign off.
  • Check all equipment used for heating, ventilating and/or cooling of the building for proper operation.
