Job Title: Blow Molding Department Manager

Location: DFW Area

Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Manager

Job Summary:

The Blow Molding Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blow molding department, creating a safe work culture, ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing machine uptime and maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on role involves managing a small team of operators and technicians, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, adherence to production schedules, implementation of capital projects, and creation of a preventive maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blow molding technology, equipment reliability and maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Department Leadership:
• Lead and manage the blow molding department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of operators, technicians, and other staff members.
• Production Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
• Troubleshoot production issues, including equipment malfunctions, material defects, and process deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Promote a culture of safety within the department, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage waste reduction initiatives.
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in blow molding or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of blow molding processes, equipment, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (preferred).
