We are seeking a dependable and flexible Backup IT Technician to provide on-call support coverage following a 2-week onsite training period. This role will support asset management tasks, device reimaging, and general end-user IT support.
After training, the technician will be on call for coverage needs, including last-minute call-outs, pre-approved PTO, or extended leave coverage.

Training Period
2 weeks onsite (up to 8 hours/day, max 40 hours/week)
Hands-on training with asset systems, imaging process, and onsite procedures
Post-Training Responsibilities (On-Call Coverage)
Be available for on-site backup coverage as needed
Perform device wipes, imaging, and asset inventory updates
Provide general desktop support following established protocols
Maintain clear documentation of all work completed
Requirements
Previous experience with imaging tools and asset management
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Reliable transportation and ability to respond to short-notice requests
Professionalism and flexibility in a client-facing environment
Important Notes
Maximum 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Overtime must be pre-approved in writing
Lunch breaks are unpaid
No pay for holidays or days the client site is closed
