We are seeking a dependable and flexible Backup IT Technician to provide on-call support coverage following a 2-week onsite training period. This role will support asset management tasks, device reimaging, and general end-user IT support.

After training, the technician will be on call for coverage needs, including last-minute call-outs, pre-approved PTO, or extended leave coverage.

Training Period

  • 2 weeks onsite (up to 8 hours/day, max 40 hours/week)
  • Hands-on training with asset systems, imaging process, and onsite procedures

Post-Training Responsibilities (On-Call Coverage)

  • Be available for on-site backup coverage as needed
  • Perform device wipes, imaging, and asset inventory updates
  • Provide general desktop support following established protocols
  • Maintain clear documentation of all work completed

Requirements

  • Previous experience with imaging tools and asset management
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to respond to short-notice requests
  • Professionalism and flexibility in a client-facing environment

Important Notes

  • Maximum 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
  • Overtime must be pre-approved in writing
  • Lunch breaks are unpaid
  • No pay for holidays or days the client site is closed
