Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Java/Scala Developer in New York, New York

Build time critical and revenue generating deal execution and analytics software applications for investment banking and global capital marketing businesses. Utilize knowledge of APIs, components, security standards, testing tools, web browsers, and mobile development to deliver software solutions. Collaborate with the Product Management and QA teams to deliver timely and quality software. Follow agile development practices to deliver high quality software solutions.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $164,000 and $164,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or a related role. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Agile methodology; Java including functional and reactive programming; Spring Containers for enterprise applications, including Spring Boot; building data-intensive and real time applications including application scaling; XML; JSON; SOAP; REST Services; Java 8 including Lambdas, Streams and Completable Future; backend web development technology including APIs and asynchronous messaging; relational data bases including Sybase, SQL Server, DB2 or PostgreSQL; Test Driven Development (TDD) practices; Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices; Junit; Cucumber; Unix; RDBMS; and DevOps.
