Accounts Payable Supervisor

Leading Asset Management Firm in New York City looking to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor!

They are in the office 3x per week in NYC.

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of payables, reinforcing robust internal controls, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a background in financial services, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to operate efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As part of a growing credit management organization, this individual must be highly adaptable and comfortable navigating complexity.

• Lead the full-cycle accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, reconciliations, and payment approvals.
• Oversee payment disbursements across various methods, including wires, ACH, checks, and online portals, while maintaining appropriate review and approval protocols.
• Supervise and mentor a junior team member, supporting their professional development and integration into the firm’s financial processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in AP procedures through effective use of automation tools and technology, streamlining workflows and enhancing accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to allocate expenses across funds, ensuring compliance with internal allocation policies.
• Manage fund reimbursements by tracking receivables, reconciling balances, and compiling supporting documentation for fund-related charges.
• Partner with finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in the end-to-end payment process.

Requirements:

4-9 Years of AP Experience from a Fund
