Accounting Manager - Contract Role

Urgently Hiring an Accounting Manager!

**This is a fully remote position**

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis to cover the maternity leave of our current Accounting Manager. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting processes related to revenue recognition, fixed asset management, and commissions.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), ASC 842 (Leases), Commissions, and strong expertise with NetSuite—specifically ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) and NetAsset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for all revenue streams.
  • Oversee and manage the fixed asset process, ensuring proper classification, valuation, and reporting in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Manage and ensure the accurate calculation and distribution of commission payments, including tracking commissionable transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by reviewing financial statements and ensuring accuracy in all financial reports.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and NetSuite functionalities.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed by senior management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis on revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and commission calculations.
  • Advanced proficiency with NetSuite, including deep experience with ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) and NetAsset.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide sound recommendations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
