About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounting Manager to take ownership of key financial functions in a fast-growing technology company. This role will oversee daily accounting operations, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. You will be a strategic partner to leadership, providing insights that support business decisions and long-term growth.
As the Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to refine financial processes, implement best practices, and mentor a team in a collaborative, high-growth environment. Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Technical Accounting: Research and resolve complex accounting issues, staying updated on the latest accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Accounting Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Industry Experience: Experience with an early-stage or high-growth SaaS/tech organization is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and a working knowledge of tax regulations.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvements.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
