Client is a large fashion house that produces and sells retail & luxury goods, shoes, and jewelry. Looking for a mid-level accountant with 3-5 years of experience who will report to the Director of Finance & Operations and is responsible for managing a company's financial and accounting practices.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and support to the accounting entries preparation.
Financial reporting: creation and preparation of financial reports for taxes and regulatory agencies.
Reconciling accounts: Comparing records to ensure figures match, and identifying discrepancies and non-compliance issues.
Maintaining ledgers: Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of accounting tasks.
Assisting: Helping the accounting manager prepare documents and interpret financial information for executives
Identify potential areas of opportunity, risk and provide solutions.
Collaborates with internal departments to reconcile any accounting discrepancies.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Support to the preparation of the financial statement.
Oversees all accounting records and subsidiary details.
Arranges payments of invoices and rent expenses.
Support to the preparation and implementation of new procedures.
Ad HOC projects.
Various financial/accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as accounting, finance, business, supply chain, international business.
3-5+ years of experience in an accounting or similar role.
Experience with banking and accounting reconciliation.
Excellent communication skills.
Deadline oriented, ability to prioritize and plan.
Inventory or luxury fashion accounting experience is a plus.
Experience working in SAP is a plus.
