We had a blast celebrating 70 incredible years of impact with United Way at the Red Carpet Gala Dinner and Auction in Yakima. We were proud to join Oregon Bay Area Beautification, where 36 awesome volunteers filled a 30-yard dumpster with trash (that’s a lot of litter, folks). We held down the fort at registration, handed out gear and kept the crew hydrated and snackified. Big thanks to everyone who showed up to clean up—your efforts made a big difference. 🌲🌊

On top of a busy job running community events for Ziply Fiber in Western Washington, Jennifer Harvey sits on the The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce Events Committee, coaches her son’s basketball team, volunteers with local back-to-school drives and adopts kids in need during the holidays to help them get clothes and toys. Jenn attributes her desire to help others to her father, who instilled in her to give back as much as she can. “I remember us always buying a boy and a girl toy for Christmas and bringing it to the Everett Mall for Toys for Tots,” she says. “My dad was always like, ‘you need to give back.’ I like making people happy, so it's easy.” But the most important volunteer role she fills is serving on the board for Stephanie’s Hope, a domestic violence awareness and resource nonprofit named for her friend. Jenn helps run events and fundraisers throughout the year while also keeping an eye out for calls for help from women and families in need. “Jenn’s a connector,” says Ziply Fiber VP of Marketing Rod Putney. “That’s one of the values she brings to the team. Sudsy cars, sizzling hot dogs, and a whole lotta community spirit. The Reedsport High School Carwash Fundraiser was a splashin’ success! We handed out 100 hot dogs, got 85 cars squeaky clean and helped the RHS Softball team raise…well, let’s just say it was enough to make us all smile. 🚗🚿🥎
