Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Chamber of Commerce Board Members and other chamber members for a terminal tour. This tour is the first in a two-part series designed to give chamber members the opportunity to experience our terminal operations firsthand. Thank you all for your time, insightful questions, and genuine interest—it made the day even more engaging and memorable! At YTI, we truly care about our local community and the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals who share our commitment. It’s always a pleasure to connect with the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and work together to build a stronger community. We look forward to hosting the second group tomorrow afternoon!

Our Safety Committee has officially wrapped up another successful year. Heading into our 9th year, we're excited to continue promoting the importance of Safety through the YTI values of Collaboration, Caring, and Commitment!

It was an incredible event, celebrating a century of industry advancements, with great conversations, casino games, and a delicious buffet dinner, shared with colleagues. A huge thank you to the Tradelink Transport team for hosting our YTI Customer Service team at their office yesterday for a lunch meet and greet! It’s always an awesome “field trip” to visit the home base of our partners and see where the real action happens! Tradelink’s ongoing support and collaboration are invaluable to us. From brainstorming new ideas to testing initiatives, they play a crucial role in helping us better serve the trucking community. We truly value our partnership and look forward to more opportunities to connect. Next time, we’ll be hosting you at YTI!

We had an amazing time hosting ASU’s Supply Chain group! During their visit, they toured the port and learned from various supply chain entities, gaining valuable insights into logistics. With two buses full of future leaders, we had the opportunity to drive them through our terminal and showcase how we operate. This experience was rooted in our values of collaboration, caring, and commitment—working together to inspire and educate the next generation while ensuring the continued success of our industry.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting AltaSea’s Jenny Krusoe, Executive VP & Chief Operating Officer, and Robin Aube, Manager of Advancement, at Yusen Terminals for a tour of our zero-emission equipment! Having had the privilege of touring their impressive facility and supporting their annual Blue Hour events, we firmly believe in the power of our collaboration to drive meaningful change. Our partnership with AltaSea began in November 2023 when we welcomed Terry Tamminen, President & CEO, to Yusen Terminals. It’s inspiring to see the strides already made, and we’re eager to continue building on our progress toward a greener, more sustainable future. Thank you, Jenny and Robin, for visiting us today! Congrats to Liliana M. from the San Pedro Boys & Girls Club for being named Los Angeles County Youth of the Year! Yusen Terminals is a proud supporter of the BGCLAH Youth of the Year program. We had the honor of cheering Liliana on during her first win at the local event a few months ago, where YTI's President and CEO, Alan McCorkle, had the privilege of serving on the panel of judges. We’re thrilled to see Liliana continue to shine. Her passion, resilience, and leadership have already made a lasting impact on our community, and now she’ll represent Los Angeles County and BGCLAH at the California State YOY Celebration in Sacramento this April! It’s an honor to support this incredible program and the amazing youth who are shaping the future of our community.

With collaboration, caring, and commitment always at the forefront, we had the honor of hosting professors from the Harbor Occupational Center to explore our Maintenance & Repair (M&R) department. This visit will help shape future curriculum to prepare students for successful careers in port operations. We’re proud to host visits like this, where we can put our values into action.
