Did you get a chance to see any of the fabulous pieces in the Fairhaven Foundation's "A Celebration of Abilities" while it was in the Thomases Family Foundation of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation Art Gallery? Now you can own them! "A Celebration of Abilities" highlights artwork from local artists served by Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana County Boards of DD. All proceeds from sales of artwork go directly to their artists. Artwork must be picked up after purchase from their office in Niles, OH. Fairhaven Foundation is working hard to bring new opportunities and experiences to the individuals and families we serve. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities. They achieve this through creating meaningful opportunities, providing resources, and promoting community awareness to enrich the lives of those we serve. Interested? We have a few updates about the Akiva Academy Expansion Campaign! Currently, we have raised $455,500 in private donations. With the $501,389 State of Ohio funding, we have raised a total of $956,889 towards the $1,500,000 expansion project. That leaves a $543,111 gap and less than $50,000 to reach the one-million mark! The Thomas Family Endowment is generously supporting with a donation of $75,000 and has officially named the Multi-Purpose Room. As you can see, the classroom walls are going up and construction crews are making excellent progress on the project. Want to see what you can do to help? Visit https://lnkd.in/gqR2T8s2 to learn more about the project and to donate today!
