  • We are excited to announce Edward Dobbins as the NEW of Chief Experience Officer for the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth.   Dobbins is no stranger to the YMCA movement, having dedicated nearly 30 years to serving Y communities across Texas. His deep-rooted experience spans multiple associations, including the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Greater San Antonio, and now Fort Worth, where he has played a vital role in strengthening operations, enhancing member experiences, and developing impactful programs.   Over the years, Eddie has led multiple branches, spearheaded fundraising efforts, and driven key strategic initiatives that have strengthened our mission and deepened our community impact. Notably, his leadership as Director of the YMCA Turkey Trot in Dallas and later Fort Worth, showcased his ability to execute large-scale events that engage thousands while also supporting the Y’s vital work. His expertise in fund development has been instrumental in supporting annual campaigns and capital projects, ensuring our programs remain accessible to all.   Eddie has held several critical leadership positions in Fort Worth, including Vice President of Operations, Operations Advisor, and AVP of Special Projects. Most recently, he graciously stepped in as the interim Chief Experience Officer, providing stability and guidance during a key transition period. His commitment to enhancing the Y experience for members, staff, and program participants has been unwavering, and his vision for growing and developing future Y leaders aligns perfectly with our mission. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Eddie to this new role. We look forward to his leadership as we continue to elevate the Y experience for all!

How have you embraced change to spark innovation in your organization? Let’s start the conversation.

  • 🎉 A New Era for Eastside! 🎉 On Monday, January 27, the Eastside YMCA hosted a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony. This celebration and project was made possible through the incredible support of Tarrant County, Marc Veasey, the City of Fort Worth, and the SID W. RICHARDSON FOUNDATION, whose dedication to strengthening local neighborhoods through the revitalization of this YMCA helped bring this vision to life. The heart of this project stemmed from community volunteers who supported and encouraged our leaders Mike Brown, MS, CFRE and AJ McCleod through this process. A highlight of the celebration is the launch of the Healthy Hub, a transformative partnership with Cook Children's Health Care System and Texas Health Resources. This initiative will provide healthy, fresh foods ensuring families in the Eastside community have greater access to the support they need to thrive. 💙 A huge thank you to all who joined us for this special moment! If you haven’t yet, stop by for a tour and see how the Eastside YMCA is redefining community impact.
