Big news! Corporate renewable energy contracts reached 100GW in 2024. This is an exciting achievement and we can't wait until we're able to celebrate a similar benchmark in aviation with SAF certificates. https://ow.ly/t2Vq50VtAlZ #SustainableAviation #SAF #SAFc

Ever heard of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) virtuous cycle? SAF certificates ➡️ new customers in the market ➡️ increased demand, investor confidence, and SAF supply ➡️ lower prices. LeeAnn Baronett, World Energy VP, Marketing, Communications and Branding, gives the full breakdown on the Green New Perspective podcast, with Dunya Jovanović. #SAF #sustainableaviationfuel #bookandclaim #biofuels
Right now, aviation is one of the most complex industries to decarbonize... but there is a way to fly AND cut emissions at the same time 🚀✈️ Meet World Energy, LLC, the first company to bring SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) to commercial scale. Instead of just selling fuel, they’re creating an entire system that lets companies like Microsoft & Boston Consulting Group (BCG) slash emissions without even owning planes. We sat down with LeeAnn Baronett from World Energy, LLC to talk about: ⚡ How SAF is scaling & transforming the industry 🌍 What “Decarbonization as a Service” actually means 🤝 Why big companies are betting on SAF This is NOT just about fuel—it’s about changing the game. Ready to see the future of flight? 🚀 Watch now! 👀 👉 https://lnkd.in/d3HsqnSz #SAF #SustainableAviation #Decarbonization #ClimateTech #FutureOfFlight

We are glad World Energy's VP Sustainability and Digital Supply Chain, Adam Klauber, was able to lend his expertise to this in depth report.
Few solutions hold as much potential to scale SAF as Book & Claim registries. However, a fragmented landscape of registries, limited interoperability, unclear emissions accounting, and regulatory hurdles are slowing adoption. This briefing explores these key barriers, and the ongoing efforts to address them, and offers a glimpse into IATA's soon-to-launch SAF registry. We thank Azim NORAZMI and Michael Schneider at International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well as Adam Klauber at World Energy, LLC for their input. Insets like SAFc are a critical tool for aviation and other hard-to-abate sectors. We applaud this development and look forward to constructive engagement with Science Based Targets initiative during the comment period.
SBTi's new draft corporate net-zero guidance supports insets as a climate solution in harder-to-abate sectors. Read more about why this matters.

What does it take for the aviation industry to balance global growth and carbon reduction? The latest report from the World Economic Forum and ACI World - Airports Council International delves into the challenges and opportunities shaping the how aviation industry advances with environmental stewardship on the mind. A lot of factors are in play, but one thing is for sure, the moves of both business and government are vital to ensure progress is made. World Energy's CEO Gene Gebolys offers his two cents, stressing the importance of participation from every member of the SAF value chain: "Companies looking to address their scope 3 emissions. are uniquely positioned to help scale the availability of SAF through voluntary offtake agreements. By enabling scope 3 offtakers to share the responsibility, voluntary offtake agreements help relieve first-mover disadvantage and open up the broader marketplace." Did you know that aviation accounts for 2.5% of global carbon emissions every year? But there's good news: sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) can reduce emissions by up to 85% when compared to conventional jet fuel! That's right, there are American-made biofuels being produced right now that are making air travel and our skies, cleaner.
