In the latest episode of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬, Nirit Cohen 🔮 Cohen speaks with Giorgio Benassi—global talent leader at retail giants like Sephora and H&M—about what it truly means to accompany workers through their life journeys. They explore a refreshingly human approach: helping hourly employees grow professionally through key life transitions—finishing a degree, returning to full-time work as kids grow up, or seeking new challenges after years in the same role. The payoff? Less turnover. Smarter recruitment. And a workforce that feels genuinely seen. Yet, despite its clear benefits, very few organizations are putting this strategy into action. This episode is a powerful reminder that when businesses build systems that flex with life, everyone wins. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 The Trump administration's latest employment law reforms are set to reshape the hourly workforce, particularly in worker classification and union rights. While aimed at reducing regulations and increasing business flexibility, these changes will have significant implications for frontline workers. One key shift is the new worker classification rules, which will make it easier for employers to classify workers as independent contractors rather than employees. While this grants businesses more flexibility, it could leave many workers without essential benefits like health insurance, paid leave, and unemployment protections. At Workrz, we are preparing for these changes by building a model that ensures hourly workers continue to have access to stable, flexible work while retaining critical protections. As the workforce landscape shifts, we remain committed to providing businesses with the staffing solutions they need while supporting workers with fair employment opportunities. #FutureOfWork #WorkforceManagement #HourlyWorkers

There are many people out there who can do the work that you need, but aren’t on your radar as potential hires because they don’t fit the kind of structures that you’re used to employing. This is where Workrz come in.
Some Americans who were laid off from high-paying jobs are responding to a tougher job market for white-collar workers by accepting a much lower-paying or lower-level role than they previously had. Bill Rees, 65, said he earned about $130,000 annually as a hotel general manager, but after a layoff last year, he's struggled to secure anything with similar pay. Rees now earns about $25 an hour at a property-management company in Wisconsin, where he moved to care for his mother. He said bills are tight, and his high Medicare insurance premium is straining his finances. He said he doesn't spend much time looking for other jobs after hundreds of applications, though he's continuing to work hard to make ends meet. "I just can't afford anything anymore," Rees said. "I anticipate having to work until at least 20 years after I'm dead to make it all come out even." Rees is one of many Americans who have had difficulty finding work recently. Since October, more than 800 recent job seekers between the ages of 18 and 76 have responded to Business Insider's informal, nonrepresentative surveys on job hunting and shared their stories with reporters through emails. Why are leaders so eager to bring employees back to the office? It’s not because they don’t see the changing world of work—it’s because they’re grappling with how to lead and succeed in it. Amazon’s RTO mandate is a case study in leadership at a crossroads. Leaders like Andy Jassy face the challenge of balancing immediate operational stability with the need to adapt to a future that demands flexibility, trust, and new ways of working. This isn’t just an Amazon story. Across industries—from corporate offices to retail and frontline roles—leaders must ask themselves: 💡How do we embrace change while maintaining what works today? 💡How do we create structures that foster both innovation and stability? 💡And how do we engage our teams in co-creating the workplace of the future? This article breaks down why many leaders are reverting to old models and what they should be telling their teams about the journey forward. What’s your take? How can leaders in all industries navigate the tension between stability and transformation?
