This is the story of a man named Bosco. As a young boy, he was raised in a village by his grandmother. Over time, he grew tired of his surroundings and decided to sneak on a charcoal truck, hiding among the sacks without anyone knowing. This daring move led him to the city streets, where he was left to fend for himself as a child. Eventually, Bosco found his way to a local church that offered him shelter off the streets. He met a preacher on the street, where he learned the Gospel and got saved. At night, he would sleep under the pulpit, and during the day, he served the church. One day, a team from Word of Life visited the church, seeking students for their Bible Institute in Uganda. The pastor mentioned Bosco’s name, and when he learned about Word of Life, Bosco couldn’t believe such a place existed. He never imagined there could be somewhere that offered studying the Bible, meals, and a warm place to sleep for a whole year. At this time, Bosco couldn’t attend the Bible Institute because he hadn’t finished high school. But through a fundraising effort, he was able to complete his high school education. Shortly after, he graduated from the Bible Institute as the valedictorian of his class. After completing his studies at Word of Life, Bosco applied for an internship with the organization but was not selected. Though initially disappointed, he was encouraged that God had a plan for his life. That encouragement led him to pursue a dream he had wanted for a while: becoming a pilot. Today, Bosco is nearing graduation from pilot school. Bosco’s story is a powerful reminder that God works in remarkable ways, not just in his life but in the lives of many others. 🙏
