Whatever you do, you can’t win. So win. We’ve watched Nike’s Super Bowl ad more times than I can count because it’s just THAT good. It’s the brand’s first #SuperBowl ad in 27 years, and they showed up with sports icons like Caitlin Clark, A'ja Wilson, Sha'Carri Richardson, Sabrina Ionescu and Jordan Chiles, narrated by Doechii, tackling the double standard that’s somehow still lingering: “There’s one guarantee in sport. You’ll be told what you can’t do. So do it anyway.” Athlete or not, women can relate to this message. We’ve all been told we’re too much, or not enough. Too ambitious, too emotional, too competitive, too outspoken. When people doubt you, the way to win is to push harder, prove them wrong, and do it anyway.
