Last week, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Wisconsin-Hessen sister-state partnership, WEDC Secretary Missy Hughes and Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH CEO Dr. Rainer Waldschmidt signed a Memorandum of Understanding to increase collaboration in global trade, business attraction, and market opportunities. The agreement aims to accelerate innovation, entrepreneurship, trade, and investment, with special emphasis on promoting start-ups. The two states also agreed to find new ways for entrepreneurs and innovators in both countries to harness their collective expertise in research, development, and investment. The Wisconsin delegation continued the trip in Berlin by visiting the DMEA - Connecting Digital Health trade fair. Governor Tony Evers, WEDC Secretary Missy Hughes, and the rest of the group spent time visiting several Wisconsin companies, including GE HealthCare and Epic. The stop at the expo was an opportunity to celebrate the state's growing strength in this industry.

New Request for Qualifications: Legal Services WEDC seeks outside counsel and/or law firms to provide high-quality legal advisory services over the next 5 years. Through this RFQ process, WEDC will select a slate of outside counsel with the necessary expertise and availability to meet our needs. As matters arise, WEDC will engage counsel from the firms chosen as needed.
