In honor of World Poetry Day, we’re sharing a tradition that’s uniquely Western Tech. For more than 20 years, Mr. Paul Wilson wasn’t just an instructor—he was a storyteller, a mentor, and during every December In-Service, our resident poet. ✍️📖 Through humor, insight, and heart, Mr. Wilson captured each year's milestones in rhyme—celebrating people, progress, and the Western Tech spirit. In December 2024, he shared his final poem before retiring. Today, we share a piece of that moment with all of you. Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for everything you’ve given Western Technical College. Celebrating Our Nurses on Certified Nurses Day! 🩺 Since launching in August 2019, Western Tech’s BSN program has grown into a powerhouse of future healthcare professionals. With 12 cohorts strong, 6 already graduated, and dozens of our nurses already in the field, our graduates are making a real impact in hospitals, clinics, and specialized care settings. But what does it mean to be a Certified Nurse? While all RNs must pass the NCLEX-RN to begin their careers, many take it further by earning specialty certifications in critical care, emergency nursing, labor & delivery, pediatrics, and more.
