According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), workplace violence is defined as any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening behavior that occurs at the work site. This includes verbal abuse, physical assaults, and any other disruptive behavior, including domestic violence and stalking when it impacts the workplace. April is recognized as Workplace Violence Prevention Awareness Month, aiming to increase awareness to recognize, prevent, and respond to workplace violence.
