DA Cacace is carrying on the legacy of her father, the late Judge Robert Cacace, for whom the Yonkers City Court building is named. Like her father, DA Cacace nurtured a passion for serving vulnerable communities into a distinguished career in the criminal justice system.

The DA's Office was proud to swear in our newest recruits this week: Kevin Griffin has joined the Office as the new head of our Conviction Review Unit. And Tatiana Galbrecht and Isabella Oppedisano are the Office's newest Assistant District Attorneys. Welcome to all!

On Trans Day of Visibility, the Westchester DA’s Office is reaffirming its commitment to protecting trans and non-binary New Yorkers from hate-based attacks. From 2018 to 2023, hate crimes against transgender New Yorkers have more than doubled. No one should feel afraid or unsafe merely for being who they are. Our office stands ready to assist anyone victimized by an act of hate.

Congratulations to my dear friend and colleague Ken Jenkins on your ascension to the County Executive's office. It was an honor to attend your ceremonial swearing-in ceremony this weekend. I look forward to our continued partnership in the years ahead.

Yesterday, a Westchester County jury convicted Ludvin Ramos-Cervantes, 19, of Yonkers, of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree for fatally shooting 51-year-old Francisco Gordillo in 2024.

On Friday, February 28th, Deputy Chief Criminal Investigator Wade Hardy was the guest speaker at Mount Vernon High School's 16th Annual Career Day, sharing his insights on a career in law enforcement and fostering positive community relationships with law enforcement officials.
