Nearly a decade ago, Larry Liu founded Weee! to support communities that lacked the density to support a large Asian market. This year, on its 10th anniversary, we are honored to announce that Forage has partnered with Weee!, the largest ethnic e-grocer in the United States, to enable online acceptance of EBT/SNAP benefits! From immigrant families to fifth generation Asian American households, from students attending college to seniors in assisted living facilities: today’s historic launch cements Weee!’s promise, and mission, to make food from all cultures accessible and affordable to all. Food plays a foundational, and profound, role in our lives, connecting us to past generations and allowing us to most fully express our identity and love for one another. Through Forage’s EBT payments technology, SNAP recipients can now purchase fresh produce, pantry staples, and specialty ingredients that connect them to their heritage … a win for shoppers, businesses, and the American Dream alike. https://lnkd.in/gJQWS5t5
