We’re feeling deeply grateful for Alight's amazing community. Over $3.5 million raised allowed Alight to continue lifesaving operations- to keep health clinics open, infant stabilization centers running and clean water flowing for the people we serve. As I reflect on the past couple of months, I am overwhelmed by a feeling of gratitude. To the incredible Alight team—thank you for continuing to show up, even in moments of deep uncertainty. To our volunteers—thank you for stepping in with open hearts. And to our donors—your generosity helped us raise an incredible $3.5 million to continue Alight’s work and protect the people we serve. In a time when the humanitarian community has been deeply impacted, your courage and compassion have provided much-needed hope. The way you showed up—for one another and for communities around the world—was a powerful reminder of humanity. As I look ahead, I feel deeply hopeful. Hina Sodhar’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative power of education. Growing up in a small village in Dadu, Sindh—where a local school was a rare privilege—she walked miles each day to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Her determination was put to the test during the devastating 2022 floods, which displaced her community and threatened to wash away their hopes. Amid this crisis, Hina and her brother began voluntarily teaching children in a makeshift classroom at a displacement camp, where they connected with the Alight team. With the unwavering support of her parents and the commitment of organizations like Alight Pakistan, Hina now proudly teaches over 60 young girls in her village. Hina’s story is a powerful reminder that with determination, mentorship, and community support, even the greatest challenges can be transformed into opportunities.
