WCNC Charlotte has teamed up with The Salvation Army for 24 years to help those less fortunate who need help putting gifts under the tree. This year, we teamed up with Charlotte area Belk stores, CR Legal Team, and Emerald School of Excellence to help make the holidays magical! With the help from the community, we made a BIG impact: https://lnkd.in/edskASz7

Congratulations to WCNC's Promotion Manager Matt Hammond and our 2024 Impact Player Award recipient. Matt’s innovative approach to marketing has raised the bar for creativity, engaging viewers in fresh and impactful ways. Beyond marketing, Matt’s influence spans across strategy, collaborating closely with our news and weather teams to enhance storytelling and production. His contributions include managing the 2024 Olympic campaign, launching our Impact branding for news and weather, driving the WCNC+ focus, and supporting initiatives like Scouting for Food and the Magical Toy Drive. Matt also keeps our Backup server ready for emergencies and has produced content for post-hurricane relief efforts. Matt’s community involvement shines outside of marketing—he’s volunteered with Nourish Up, ran steady-cam for major events, and supported Helene’s Phone Bank and election coverage. His hands-on dedication is invaluable, making him a true standout and key to WCNC’s success.
