Serving at pivotal locations such as Minot AFB, RAF Lakenheath, Kirtland AFB, and the Pentagon, Padgett's career path led through critical positions in Squadron, Group, Wing, MAJCOM, and Headquarters Air Force. His visionary efforts included justifying a 15% increase in manpower for nuclear-capable units, implementing special duty pay for enlisted forces, and establishing development teams for senior NCOs, ensuring the future strength and capability of the nuclear enterprise.
