  • Our Central Technology Center (CTC) celebrated Nate Dunn, the CTC Operator of the Quarter from January to December 2025. Our CTC Operators immediately respond when event-based alarms are activated from video feeds. While working third shift, Nate responded and closed 9,524 alarms in Q1 and effectively talked down 2 individuals via speakers. Nate is a valued member of the CTC team during a time of growth. As a tenured operator, he uses his experience and knowledge to contribute ideas to improve processes and spot checks.   • Congratulations to Larry Watts on his retirement! His last day was yesterday, April 9, 2025, after 19 years of service as a CSO for the District of Northern California. His career of service is long and honored. He is an Air Force veteran who saw wartime duty in Vietnam before beginning his civilian career as a police officer in 1980. He then started his own successful private investigation firm before becoming a CSO in 2006. Thank you, Larry, for your years of service. Enjoy your retirement!

  • Congratulations to John Russo, our 2024 Officer of the Year for Charleston! John has been a great asset and leader since joining our team as a School Security Officer (SSO). He receives constant praise from his school’s faculty and students for his excellent service. He has also been instrumental in developing and instructing our Active Shooter training and routinely volunteers to help train other SSOs in active threat situations/scenarios. He is an Army veteran who served a year in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. He holds the Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and Army Good Conduct Medal. His list of commendations continues from his tenure as a SWAT Officer. He received the Unit Citation Award for his role in arresting a potential school shooter. John and his fellow SWAT officers arrested the student on their way to school. Ammo was found in their backpack.

  • We are excited to announce that Contract Manager Eric Sands has successfully completed the rigorous IADLEST certification and is now recognized as a National Certified Instructor! This prestigious accomplishment highlights his experience, dedication and commitment to excellence in law enforcement training. A snapshot into Eric’s career includes: • 17 years as the Contract Manager for the 7th Circuit • 33 years of law enforcement experience • Taught over 4,000 total hours of law enforcement and emergency services training “I look forward to being able to share my instructor/training skills and educational experiences with more students and instructors,” explained Eric on the IADLEST National Certification. “The exchange of information with other instructors and IADLEST resources will help me become a better student and instructor.
