Vohra Wound Physicians welcomes Shena Cramner, FNP-BC, as the latest addition to our practice.    Shena received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Findlay with the intent of obtaining a probation/parole position. That ended up not working out, so she obtained a role in healthcare, went back to school for her RN and several years later obtained her FNP from Northern Kentucky University. She has been an FNP for 3 years.     Shena lives in a small town in NW Ohio. She is married with 4 children and 2 dogs. Her family loves to camp, 4-wheeler, and play sports. Her kids are involved in lots of extra activities that keep her very busy! Vohra Wound Physicians welcomes Dr. Susan Brunner, MD, as the latest addition to our practice. Dr. Susan Brunner began her education as a chemistry major at the University of South Alabama after growing up on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. She attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She attended Carraway Methodist Medical Center for her training where she flew as a flight physician on Lifesaver and worked in their level I trauma ER while starting the first Hospitalist program in Birmingham, AL. Carraway had an advanced wound care program with hyperbaric oxygen chambers and was part of her initial training.  It left a lasting impression.    Dr. Brunner rode out many hurricanes in hospital basements as the daughter of a nurse and felt at home in the walls of a hospital. Her first job at a hospital was as a nursing assistant in college. For this reason, it was not a stretch to work long hours in a hospital taking care of sick patients, so this became her career path. As a Hospitalist physician she helped develop many of the local programs. She has been board certified in Internal Medicine and working as a Hospitalist since 1998. She received her fellowship in Hospital Medicine in 2019.  She has been working at the Birmingham VA Medical Center the past 9 years caring for America’s veteran population.   She spent many holidays packing up her family and traveling the world to learn about different cultures and have adventures. Vohra Wound Physicians welcomes Dr. Linda Jager, MD, as the latest addition to our practice. Dr. Linda Jager is currently a wound care physician at Vohra. A proud graduate of Indiana University school of medicine, she was inspired to pursue a career in Family Medicine. After completing residency, Dr. Jager pursued a position in wound care in 2013 after having a family member’s limb saved by a wound care physician. She worked at Genesis wound center for the next 5 years. She then had the opportunity to become the medical director of the UnityPoint wound center and continued to develop her expertise in wound care over the last 10+years. When Dr. Jager was not working in the wound center, she helped start the Genesis Palliative care program and work in hospice care. In 2016 she found her second passion, functional medicine. She became certified in Functional Medicine in 2020 and continues to practice functional medicine at Vibrant Health. In Dr. Jager's free time, she can be found hanging out with her 6 backyard chickens in her garden or on the tennis court.  She loves being outdoors, hiking, and taking in the glory of creation. Kristy graduated with her BSN from Indiana University and then decided to return for her Masters/FNP at Northern Kentucky University. Currently she is in the Doctorate program at Northern Kentucky University. She anticipates graduation in the fall of 2025.  Kristy has been a nurse since 1995. Prior to that she was a nursing assistant for two years. She has spent her whole career, 31 years in long-term care. She grew up in a nursing home due to her mother being a nursing home administrator who is now retired. After becoming a nurse, Kristy quickly worked her way to unit manager, MDS coordinator, Director of Nursing for many years, and the last 8 years she has been a regional nurse consultant.      Kristy’s hobbies include traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She has three kids, one boy who is 21, middle daughter is 18, and her youngest daughter is 16.  She is certified in wounds through WCC. A significant achievement in her current role was leading a quality improvement initiative that focused on managing chronic illnesses, resulting in a notable decrease in hospitalization rates and enhanced patient outcomes. She is passionate about providing compassionate care that improves the lives of her patients. Ivy believes in empowering individuals to take control of their health and strive to create a supportive environment where they feel valued and understood. Through her work, she aims to promote better health outcomes and foster a sense of dignity and well-being for all residents, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.    Currently, Ivy works as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Exceptional Living Centers, and she is a proud graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. She chose to specialize in family and geriatric care because she is committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals at all life stages. Prior to this position, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Fresenius Kidney Care, managing acute and end-stage renal disease.    In Ivy's free time she enjoys outdoor activities with her family and spending quality time with her two beautiful girls and her awesome husband. Dr. Kathryn Decker graduated cum laude from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science degree, earning a departmental citation for academic excellence. She continued her educational journey at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she obtained a medical degree and was inducted into the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society. After medical school, Dr. Decker pursued a surgical residency at MAHEC in Asheville, North Carolina. Following the completion of her residency, she has spent the past six months serving as a physician in the Asheville community, where she has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient care and community health.    Outside of her professional life, Dr. Decker is a devoted parent to a 13-year-old daughter who is currently attending middle school. She finds balance in her busy career through hobbies such as hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. These personal interests, combined with a passion for helping others, have made the transition to her new role at Vohra particularly exciting.
