Laredo Legislative Trip to Washington D.C. – Advocating for Our Community at the Federal Level March 10-13, a dedicated group of Laredo leaders from both public and private sectors, took to Washington D.C. for an impactful legislative trip, marking another important advocacy effort at the federal level. Our mission? To strengthen Laredo’s presence on the national stage and advocate for the priorities that will help our community thrive. Exciting news for Laredo’s sports community! 🎾 Visit Laredo had the honor of attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Tennis Complex at TAMIU, a state-of-the-art facility jointly owned by the City of Laredo and Texas A&M International University. This impressive venue features 18 fully lit courts, locker rooms, spectator stands, and a reception area with a full view of all courts—a fantastic addition to our city's sports infrastructure! A special thank you to Tina Treviño from the Laredo Tennis Association for her dedication and advocacy in making this project a reality. Her efforts have been instrumental in strengthening Laredo’s tennis community. The complex will host its first tournament next week, marking the beginning of many exciting events to come. Additionally, court reservations are now open at http://tamiu.edu/tennis.
